Later, the analytics firm ComScore had estimated that the network has currently 20 million users. The reports has said that the US, India, Canada, Britain and Germany are the top countries using the network.

On the other hand, unofficial Google+ statistician and the founder of Ancentry.com, Paul Allen, said that there are 18 million users on the network, which is based on the surname model. Whatever the statistics may be, the new social network has still a long way to go to catch up with the giants like Facebook and Twitter.

However, Google+ has proved itself as one of the fastest growing social media networks even before it has been officially announced. Another analyst firm has opined that the social network now has to keep a track on how much time the user spends on the site.
