Qantas A380 fight saved by the crew on November 4
The Qantas A380 plane which had made an emergency landing due to an engine failure on November 4, was according the reports, saved by the fast action and sensibility of the crew. The Australian Transport Safety Bureau had reported.
“The aircraft would not have arrived safely in Singapore without the focused and effective action of the flight crew,” the report said. The report also mentioned that there were about five pilots aboard with a combined experience of 72,000 hours.
According to the report by the ATSB, the pilots struggled with numerous errors due to the engine failure, due to a leak in the oil pipe of the Rolls Royce Trent 900 engine.
However on Thursday, Qantas had announced that it has started a legal action against Rolls Royce. Qantas has resumed some of the services of the A380 planes after ensuring the safety of the engines following the incident on 4th November.
