Terry Jones determined to burn copies of Quran on 9/11 – Video
It is unclear if Pastor Terry Jones has thought through the ramifications of his actions. When asked directly, he states that he doesn’t want Americans to be harmed, but if they are, it will not be his responsibility.Pastor Terry Jones of the Dove World Outreach Center is committed to the burning of copies of the Quran despite the obvious harm invited both to himself and to Americans worldwide. We now wonder whether or not people will rise up and prevent the burning of these books.
10News quotes Rev. Fr. Andrew Heyes of St. Clement Episcopal Church, saying “It shows a lack of Christian concept of grace and love that we should offer to all people, no matter of what faith or no faith,” Heyes said. “The idea of book-burning is kind of the first-resort of a Totalitarian regime, rather than a free country, which the U.S. is.”

The Daily Beast says, In response to the acid response his campaign has received, the lanky 58-year-old with a bushy, grey handlebar mustache now walks his 20-acre church campus with a pistol holstered to his hip. “We’ve gotten 100 or more death threats, some of them graphic,” Jones told the Tampa Tribune last week. “The latest one was from some people heading here, a group of three, armed with automatic weapons, armed with explosives. They said they were going to kill me and blow up the building.”

The Huffington Post reports, “Hardball” host Chris Matthews, who called Jones’ plans to burn the Islamic holy book “a terrible idea” and warned that it “could cause trouble and even death” when televised in Muslim countries, asked, “What do you think the reaction will be as this goes on international television?
