Pregnant Woman Pregnant Again

The New York Daily News has reported a very rare story of Julia Grovenburg, who is pregnant again after two and a half  weeks of being pregnant.

Julia along with her husband Todd Grovenburg went for a regular ultrasound checkup and there it was discovered that she now has two fetuses growing inside her womb.

The Couple resides in Fort Smith, Arkansas

This kind of a rare condition is reportedly known as superfetation, means to become pregnant again while already being pregnant.

The facts about this episode reported here are as follows

Julia Grovenburg is pregnant with two babies, but they are not twins

Babies were conceived two-and-a-half weeks apart

Generally only seen in animals, with around 10 reported cases in humans

The couple Plan to name the first child, a girl, Jillian

Second baby, a boy, will be named Hudson

Could be dangerous for the younger child, who is likely to be born premature, at the same time as the first

Older child expected in late 2009, younger in early 2010
