Prior MLB All-Star Jose Lima died this morning at his residence in California. The news about the death of this 37-year-old right-hander was firstly revealed to ESPN Sport by Jose Lima’s wife, Dorca Astacio. Dorca disclosed that Jose Lima’s death was triggered by a massive heart attack during the night. Jose Lima’s death has been a jolt for Dorca Astacio and all of his fans, since Jose Lima has been recognized as an energetic athlete who is physically fit.

“He was a man full of life, without apparent physical problems and with many plans and projects on the agenda,” Dorca said.

According to Dorca, Jose Lima had been complaining all over the night, which she supposed was caused by a nightmare. Quickly after she recognized that Jose Lima was having a heart attack, she phoned paramedics. Unfortunately, when paramedics reached their house in California, there was nothing more they could do to support Jose Lima’s life.

“Jose was complaining while sleeping and I just thought he was having a nightmare,” Astacio explained. “I called the paramedics, but they couldn’t help him.”
