Joe Locker To Pass on or To Be Available on 2010 NFL Draft?
Earlier this season, we heard that Joe Locker was going to pass NFL, in order to stay for the senior year. ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit was reporting that University of Washington quarterback Jake Locker will return for his senior season instead of declaring for the NFL draft. Wow, is that even true?
Adam Schefter of ESPN adds that “there was a strong sentiment [that Locker] would have been [the] first QB — and quite likely first player — drafted in the 2010 NFL Draft”. And as if to put away any wrong rumors, it has been declared that Locker had also been drafted by the Los Angeles Angels in the 2009 MLB Draft. In August, Locker signed a contract with the team that did not limit his ability to play football for the Huskies.
