Google transliteration IME is a typing service made available by Google for Hindi and other Indic languages.

This tool transliterates by matching the Latin words with an inbuilt dictionary. Google Transliteration is currently made available to download free of cost and one doesn’t have to  sign-up for the same.

Google Transliteration IME is made available in 14 different languages – Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Nepali, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu, Arabic, Bengali, Farsi, Greek.

The best feature about this is that it doesnt require a internet connection.

Last month in Dec 2009 Google released a offline version called  Google IME.

    Why i can”t install OnTranslator on my macbook? Can”t understand what the problem. Does anyone uses that translator?
