Djokovic defeated world number two, Roger Federer in straight sets as well. The first set was an easy win for Djokovic. He won the first one 6-2. Federer gave a good fight for the second set but lost the tie-breaker by seven points to four.
Last week’s Madrid Open’s blue clay caught tennis fans by surprise when both Djokovic and Nadal made an early exit. The final was played between Federer and Berdych. However, things are back to normal for the clay season. The favorites are competing in this final.
In head-to-head matches Nadal has a lead of 18 to 13. But in recent clashes Djokovic has totally outclassed the Spaniard. The Serb has won six matches out of the last seven played against Nadal. However, Nadal has an overall better record on clay. His five French Open titles speak for his expertise on clay.
