Indian Badminton player Jwala Gutta is not much bothered about the fact that she droped out of the top 10 of the mixed doubles rankings. Jwala says that, the Year 2010 was the most remarkable year for her career.

“I know my ranking in mixed doubles has dropped but that is because I choose not to play tournaments after the Commonwealth Games. I was really tired and wanted a break. I am not worried about my rankings as what matters is performance,” Jwala said.

The player is quite confident about her skills and says that, she can rise her rankings again and that her performance is more important to her than her rankings. Jwala said that, the Common Wealth Games have not even given popularity to the badminton players but have also made the game popular among the masses.

The player has not made any New Year resolutions but has promised to stay focused at the game in the coming year.
