After missing out on the Wolves game on the weekend, Wayne Rooney returns to the side successfully recovering from his knee problem. United will be without the services of Micheal Carrick who was sent off in the first leg while their injury list includes Ryan Giggs, Anderson, Micheal Owen and long term absentee Owen Hargreaves.
Alexandre Pato was included in the 22 men squad but may not yet be fit to start. “It’s unlikely that Pato will make it and I think [Marco] Borriello, [Klaas-Jan] Huntelaar and Ronaldinho will play up front,” said AC Milan chief executive Adriano Galliani.
