The Pune Warriors (PW) and the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will come face to face for the second time this season. This time the venue is going to be the Subrata Roy Sahara Stadium in Pune. The pw vs rcb game will be played on May 11 and it will be the 57th match of the Indian Premier League 2012.

Pune has lost the last six matches it played. This losing streak is even worse than the bottom placed Chargers’ losing spree. The only two games the Chargers won in thirteen played, were against the Warriors!

The Warriors will have two more games after this one to gain any pride or to get a consolation win. Although they have insignificant chances of qualifying for the playoffs, they can still play a crucial part in making it difficult for other teams to do so.

The Royal Challengers come into this game with high spirits after a great performance against the Mumbai Indians. They restricted the Mumbai side to 141 runs, which is the smallest total by any team against RCB this season.

Muttiah Muralitharan provided the inspiration required by RCB’s bowling. His two wickets there made him the leading wicket taker for RCB, although he has just played six games.

Furthermore, Virat Kohli’s little cameo with the bat after a long while is also a good sign for the Bangalore team, apart from the fact that  Chris Gayle got the orange cap after his unbeaten innings.
