PCB suspends central contracts of tainted trio

The Pakistan Cricket Board has revoked the contracts of the three Pakistani players involved in spot-fixing. The PCB announced that he trio of Salman Butt, Mohammad Amir and Mohammad Asif will not be eligible for their central contracts till they remained suspended.

PCB said that the central contracts were for the players who could play for the side and not for those who could not play for the team. The trio of Butt, Asif and Amir was suspended by the ICC over allegations of spot-fixing. They appealed against the suspension but the decision was upheld.

Now, the trio will need to appeal against the verdict and an independent tribunal will decide on whether or not the trio was guilty.
