The Mumbai Indians (MI) and the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will play each other in the 54th match of the Indian Premier League 2012. The mi vs rcb match will take place on May 9 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

This is the first game between these two IPL giants this season. Their overall head to head record from previous seasons is balanced, with Mumbai winning five of the nine contests.

Similarly, Mumbai Indians have the best bowling average of 21.80 in the tournament, as compared to a 36.28 for the RCB. Furthermore, the MI is the most economical team of IPL 2012 against the worst economy rate for the RCB.

The RCB’s skipper, Daniel Vettori sat himself on the bench to make way for Murali in the last game. Murali performed well but the rest of the bowling was impotent.

Overall, with so many big players like Gayle, DeVilliers, Kohli, Vettori, Murali, Zaheer, Tendulkar, Malinga and Harbajhan will make it a treat for the cricket fans to watch.
