The MCC has said on Friday that they are not interested in bidding for one of the remaining two IPL teams on offer.

Earlier, their chief, Keith Bradshaw had said that they will be looking at buying an IPL side as a consortium.

There are eight sides in the IPL currently, and the expansion plans include the addition of two more teams from the fourth edition of the tournament. However, the base price to purchase the teams is $225 million, which may put off some of the interested parties.

The MCC chief Bradshaw said that while the guardians of cricket had decided not to go ahead with the deal, they would like to forge better relationships with the IPL and try to play a bigger role with the IPL.

There is another soccer club from UK which has shown interest in buying one franchise.
