Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni has been ruled out of the Indian Premier League 2010 (IPL) due to an elbow injury. He sustained this injury in the Chennai game against Kolkata Knight Riders.

Dhoni is the captain of the Chennai side and had smashed a 33-ball 66 to win his side the game.

Unfortunately, during the same innings, a short ball from Shane Bond took the leading edge of the bat and crashed into the batsman’s elbow, and caused him much pain.

He batted on to complete the innings, but was ruled out after the game.

Suresh Raina will now lead the side, while Parthiv Patel will be the wicket-keeper.
