Gautam Gambhir reprimanded by IPL for criticizing Rajasthan Royals
Delhi Daredevils skipper Gautam Gambhir has been reprimanded by the IPL chief commissioner for calling the Rajasthan team an ordinary one!
Speaking at the post-match conference with the commentator on Thursday, Gambhir said that they were not worried about the Rajasthan side apart from Yusuf Pathan, as they considered it to be an ordinary side.
Delhi had beaten Rajasthan rather easily in the game played at the Feroz Shah Kotla.
This prompted the IPL chief Lalit Modi to charge Gambhir with Level 1 dissent. This carries a minimum penalty of a reprimand and a maximum of a 50% match fee deduction.
Gambhir escaped with a reprimand only. Later, Gambhir defended his under-fire Indian team-mate Yuvraj Singh despite being out of form.
