Former South African pace bowler and coach, Eric Simons has been appointed as India’s bowling consultant.

It is not yet known for how long will he be around, but he should start his endeavor from the India-Bangladesh Test matches.

Only recently, there were rumors that Allan Donald would be appointed be as a full-time bowling coach, but this decision means that if things go well, Simons could also be given a full-time responsibility.

It remains to be seen whether the beleaguered Indian bowlers will be able to benefit from Simons’ presence.

Recently Indian captain MS Dhoni had said that India was missing out on a bowling coach as there was a lot of responsibility on coach Gary Kirstein.
