The beauty of this match is both the teams will know just before the start of the match if they are playing a virtual IPL 2010 quarter-final.

This match is going to be a quarter-final if in the earlier match today Chennai beat Punjab, which will take them to 14 points – same as Deccan Chargers and Delhi Daredevils, and thus become the third team to make the semi-finals.

if Punjab pull off an upset, though, the match will become more important for Deccan who are on 12 points.
