Taiwan’s UN Bid Rejected

Well, there is a little bit less tension in the air today. Taiwan was rejected in its bid to become a member of the United Nations.

The Chinese government opposes, make that firmly opposed Taiwan's attempt or any blatant action aimed to split China.

China's UN Ambassador said AGAIN -  "Taiwan is ineligible to join the UN in any name or in any way."

Taiwan's letter requesting admission and delivered by the Solomon Islands was returned one day after it was received.

Time, not the magazine, is on the mainland's side, perhaps.chinese.ambassador.wang.guangya.jpg

At any rate, this issue is not going to be resolved in my lifetime.

What do you think it will take for Taiwan to become totally independent of the mainland?

Is it worth considering?
