South Korea Catches North Korean Spy

Submitted by Bill Belew on Thursday, 24 August 2006No Comment

For the first time in years, South Korea has arrested a North Korean spy.

South Korea’s National Intelligence Service arrested 48-year-old Jeong Kyung Hak who had been traveling on a forged Philippine ID.

This is not likely, IMHO, to affect the relations of the two Cold War enemies, and even it did, what would North Korea do?

It seems Jeong was carrying a CD with codes for secret communication with North Korea.

The codes clearly revealed the daily two 30-minute windows of time that the North turns on its electric generators.

Even this guy were to steal from the South, what would the North do with it? What can they do with it?

What do you think?
