Singapore Anglo Chinese School Best in the World?
Singapore's Anglo Chinese School (Independent) claims they are the best in the world.
Nine of its 20 students who sat for the International Baccalaureate (IB), a global standard of educational testing scored perfect grades. The nine were almost half of the world's total of perfect marks.
"What is incredible is that this school did achieve such results with its first cohort," said the regional director of International Baccalaureate Asia Pacific.
Singapore's Prime Minister sends his son to the school.
Half of the school's 375 students who sat for the test scored 40 points or higher out of a maximum 45 points.
Those scores make the students eligble to enter U.S. Ivy League schools or Britains Oxford.
No word on how the PM's son did.
To be sure, South Korea, China and Japan moms will want to know how the school did it.
