Olympic Stars – Amsterdam 1928 – Betty Robinson

For the first time ever, a women's track event was staged in the Olympics.

It was the 100m dash.

Representing the USA, Betty Robinson won by half a meter in just her fourth track meet ever.

On the USA team she also took a silver medal home in the 4×100m relay.
