North Korean Nuke Test Causes Surge in Condom Sales and Motel Bookings in South Korea
The North Korean ‘nuke test’ causes a surge in business ‘activity’ in South Korea.
A leading chain of convenience stores in South Korea reported a 25% rise in condom sales in the week after the test. Two weeks after sales were still up over 15%.
Another national chain announced a 15% rise in sales over last month and 12% over last year.
South Korea’s ‘love motels’ a popular pay-by-the-hour motel for Koreans who don’t want to do the act at home where grandma, grandpa, mom, dad and all their brothers and sisters might catch them, saw a huge surge in online bookings and some report no vacancies until next month.
There is no way to know for sure that the arousal of condom sales and love motel bookings has any inter-connection with the North Korean test, but it does seem plausible.
No matter…some just care that the DPRK’s actions were/are good for business.
What do you think?
Do they make condoms large enough to slip over the heads of missiles?
