North Korea wants to Send Unified Team to Beijing 2008 Olympic Games

Submitted by Bill Belew on Wednesday, 11 April 2007No Comment

North Korea would want to send a unified team to the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. Chances are the country could not afford to send them on their own.

But, then they could walk there and make it on time, IF, they started in time.

Problem is the North and South cannot agree (that's not news) on how to select the team.

The South wants to send the best athletes. The North wants to send equal representation.

The North rep said, ‘We belong to one nation and we have the same blood. This is my answer to the issue of forming a unified team for the Beijing Olympics.’

So, if they are one nation, one blood…what's their to be 'equal' about? Is there a North nation and a South nation?

Let the best athletes go?
