The Beijing Organizing Committee for the 2008 Games (BOCOG), the NBA and FIBA, basketball's world governinng body have come to terms on in-arena entertainment during basketball competition, presumably during half-time and time outs.

"'We want to provide a memorable in-arena experience to the fans, motivate them to support our athletes and make the basketball competition one of the hottest sports at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing,' said FIBA secretary general Patrick Baumann."

What BOCOG wanted to know was, will Janet Jackson be there and will she have another wardrobe malfunction.

The NBA has agreed to provide:fiba.gif

1. human resources for sports presentation

2. personnel such as game and video directors

3. music and production coordinators

4. script supervisors

And, of course, the NBA hopes its reps win the competition as well. Yao Ming is likely to have something to say about that?

What team do you think has the best shot at the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympic Games?
