Miwa Asao, Japan’s Number One Beach Volleyball Player Not Headed to Olympic Games – 7 Reasons Why

Japan's number one beach volleyball star, Miwa Asao, doesn't seem to be on her way to the Olympics.

She won't make it despite putting beach volleyball on the map in Japan…somewhere near Niigata maybe?

She won't make it even her high school coach says, "She's an incredible fighter. And she has the ability to drag up those around her, too."

Why?

1. Her swimsuits are excessively skimpy. This reason will not keep her fans from

watching, however.

2. She and her teammate are ranked just 44th in the world and need to be ranked 24th or higher to get a ticket.

3. The chances of her moving up in the next 10 tourneys are nil.

4. She lacks having played in Japan's professional V-league.

5. She lacks specialized coaching from the U.S. or Brazil.

6. She's over exposed. Some of us don't mind this, but she ought to be practicing instead of doing TV commercials or releasing a new photo collection say they (see above).

7. Japan Volleyball Association has stopped throwing money at the beach volleyball players leaving them to fend for themselves, including Asao. Gotta make money to pay the coach. But, then there's no time to practice.

Still, she'll continue making the yen, fighting the fight.

If looks could kill, I'm sure she must have one super kill shot.
