FIFA 2007 Women’s World Cup – China
There are 16 teams that will compete in this year's FIFA 2007 World's Cup in China from September 10 – September 30th.
China's team will make their first appearance since the inaugural tournament 16 years ago, when they scored just one goal in three matches that they all lost.
China failed to reach the last-four of the inaugural FIFA Women's World Cup at home in 1991 after losing to Sweden in the quarter-final.
China finished fourth at the FIFA Women's World Cup in Sweden in 1995
The team finished runners-up at the FIFA World Cup USA 1999
China was eliminated by Canada in the quarter-finals of the FIFA Women's
World Cup in the USA in 2003.
