Chinese Managers Needed – Intel Teach to the Future

Businesses in China are facing shortages on both ends. There are not enough workers AND there are not enough managers.

According to one consultant, only aout 10% of Chinese candidates are qualified to work in such areas as finance, engineering nad accounting.

China has fewer than 5000 managers qualified to work for multinationals and more than 75,000 such jobs are expected to be created in the next 5 years alone!

Intel’s Teach to the Future program in China is one answer, at least for Intel….or until someone lures them away.

Intel should be applauded for this kind of effort.

I am an educator and I place great stock in any person or organization that takes it upon themselves to educate people so that they can enjoy a better quality of life.

I hope Intel’s efforts are successful.

What do you think?
