China willing to host 2018 World Cup
For the first time a senior official of the Chinese Football Association's (CFA) said that China is willing to host the 2018 World Cup.
FIFA president said that China would make a good host.
The VP says China is studying details with regard to FIFA and the bidding process.
China just finished successfully hosting the 2007 Women's World Cup.
Bidding for the 2018 World Cup will begin in 2010.
Later this month, the 2014 World Cup host will be decided.
In 2018, if the rotation system continues, it will be Oceania's turn, including Australia – another China-Australia showdown like the 2000 Olympic Games perhaps?
Next year, China will prove what it can do when it comes to hosting games with the Beijing Summer Olympic Games.
The Women's World Cup games averaged 40,000 in attendance and there were more than 200 television and radio stations that covered the tournament.
2018 – a long way away?
Not really.
