China to Bid for 2014 World Cup?

FIFA president has invited China to Bid for the 2014 World Cup – men's version.

Joseph Blatter is the eighth president of FIFA, the global soccer body. He invited China to make a bid at in Beijing yesterday during a completion ceremony for China's Football Association's new headquarters.

Blatter has already called the Women's World Cup being held in China now, a success.

Blatter said the 2007 FIFA Women's World Cup is powerful proof of the country's ability to hold any large international games….2007.world.cup.china.fifa.gif

And the Olympics are proof of what?

The next World Cup Football will be held in South Africa in 2010.
