Beijing’s Preparations for Olympic Tourists
Beijing is hunkering down in preparation for the 2.5 million some tourists it expects to descend on the city next year for the Olympic games.
The country's largest inbound tourism service, China International Travel Service (CITS) says guests will be able to get info in seven languages:
English,
French,
Spanish,
Italian,
German
Japanese and
Chinese
Online payment service will be available for domestic agencies.
A hotline in the seven languages will be available 24/7.
Number of hotel rooms – for the 500,000 foreigners expected – Beijing's 5,780 hotels and guesthouses have 646,400 beds.
Another 50,000 beds are on the way.
Car rental services will be increase at the airport…
Short stay hotels, wi-fi, cinemas…
And, of course…the GAMES.
