Beijing Games – Don’t Eat the Rice Dumplings
Heading to the Beijing Games in August?
Don't eat the rice dumplings from this guy's kitchen.
One wonders why anybody would have rat poison in a kitchen anyway.
Still in the midst of China’s big push for food safety and sanity, a Chinese cook put rat poison in his rice dumplings thinking it was flour.
Yup. He’s dead. And, so are five of his friends.
While making rice dough, the chef grabbed the rat poison by mistake. Somehow,
the poison had been placed among the other condiments. An investigation to see if there has been any mischief is underway.
The cook also had a part-time job selling rat poison as a business and, it seems, he had put the poison in the kitchen when he moved home.
Good thing he doesn't have a part time job stocking other kitchens in area. Or did he?
Looks like China has more work to do as people will become even more anxious about food safety leading up to the Beijing Games.
