Beijing 2008 Summer Olympic Games Ticket Expected to Net $140 million

Submitted by Bill Belew on Friday, 20 April 2007No Comment

$140 million sounds like a lot, but….China is expected to spend $30 billion on the games, part of $150 billion program that has been sunk into infrastructure improvements.

Sales of sponsorships, television rights, merchandising and private investments are the other revenue sources.

7 million tickets of 9 million total have already gone on sale for $1.30 (for Chinese students), then $12 to $646 each depending on the venue.

My father-in-law will go to Beijing this month to buy tickets for events he wants to see and has offered to buy tickets for me as well.beijing.2008.games.jpg

Problem is, I can't determine which of the other 22 some events I want to see….swimming will be first on my list.

What event do you want to see?
