Beijing 2008 Games to Begin 500 Day Countdown
March 27th will mark 500 days before the Beijing 2008 games.
The city is getting excited…the country is getting excited. Dang! I am getting excited and I don't even know if I will be able to go or not.
Instead of church….12,000 people joined an event …. 2007 Beijing International Long Distance Walk Carnival…to show support for the Beijing Olympics.
The 'long distance' was 18 kilometers…about 11 miles. 
I don't know a lot of things, but I know a few. One of them is that 11 miles is NOT a long distance. In Japan, we walked 100 kilometers in a day 10 different time to raise money for various causes.
Still….I couldn't get 12,000 people to do it.
China, Beijing will host a grand Olympics and I eagerly look forward to the Games and am happy to participate in the buildup.
