$52 for a Cube Shaped Watermelon
Somebody has too much time on their hands and is hoping that others have too much money on theirs…a somewhat new yet growing rapidly phenomenon in China.
Using steel molds watermelons were grown in the shape of cubes and having the five Fuwa (mascots for the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympic Games) emblazoned on them are on sale at a supermarket in the city of Xuchang.![]()
The sixth side of the cube says, only a fool would pay 298 yuan ($52) for a watermelon that is going to be cut up and eaten anyway.
How much money is the most you ever wasted on something to eat?
