5 Reasons Why China’s Hottest Girl – Zhang Ziyi, Selected as Top Ten Charmer
Chinese actress, Zhang Ziyi, was told "You Bring Charm to the World" when she was selected along with 9 others as one of China's 10 most influential people in the world.
Indeed, Zhang Ziyi charmed the audience with some of her comments upon receiving the award.
1. It's a great honor to me, but I have never thought of myself anything particularly outstanding," said the actress, who starred in " Memoirs of a Geisha." ![]()
2. She herself partially attributed her success to luck – "Yes, that's true. My first role was offered by Zhang Yimou (in the film "The Road Home") , and Ang Lee's "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" brought me world fame," she said. "But I cherish each chance and finish each piece of work with all my heart, so am I today. I don't think there is a shortcut to success, not at all."
3. In response to the courting by Hollywood, she responded, "The key is if it is attractive to me and if I have confidence and passion to do it."
4. When rejecting an 'interesting' script that contained racial discrimination, "As a Chinese, I could not lose dignity."
5. When asked which she would keep if God took her youth, beauty, wealth, health, love and family affection, the charmer replied, " "May I choose two of them love and family affection? If you can die in the arms of someone who loves you so dearly, isn't it another kind of happiness?"
Is there any wonder now why she won the award?
