its a wrong picture!
this is edelweiss cheung, the winner of miss hk 2008.
skye chan was the 1st runner up
I must say that skye chan did not deserve second place in Miss Chinese International, there were many others who were much more attractive (in terms of beauty, body shape and height) than she is (New York,Nanjing,Germany, Seattle, etc, etc), yet none of them placed. It just shows how far hong kong beauty pageant organisers are willing to go to support their own local representatives. There is no fairness to that competition at all, she is much too average of a person. At least Edelweiss is much taller, skye is simply too average to come second in an international beauty pageant
and it’s an embarrassment for someone like that to represent Hong Kong in an international beauty pageant like Miss World when all the other contestants are much taller, have better looking faces, and better bodies. It does not reflect well on Hong Kong as a nation, or a part of China, at all. Foreigners are just going to laugh when they see that this is the best that Hong Kong can offer. I am ashamed
