When Rita was crowned, I was in I.I.T., Khargpur studying
Geophysics . She had a legacy of scandals unfit for a Beauty Queen and being an Indian. She first left her long-time boy friend because he was a Hindu. Then she dumped her devoted Indian lover and fiance, Mr Osborn Lobo
to enjoy her fame and glamor as Miss India honobing with the rich .Britsh and Americans. She forgot her own roots
and hardly did anythingor India where she was born and brought up. She joined Bob Hope, the conservative Republican to entertain the butcher U.S. GIs in Vietnam against the will of Indian Government! However, she is a
Catholic of some Portugese blood and ancestry and cannot
be called a true Indian, who finally find love in a strange
Irishman breaking all her roots and ties with India. Isn’t it a
shame ? Pl pass this on Rita Faria. I don’t know her address or E-Mail.
