Politics aside, Lin Jie Ming will represent Chinese Taipei or Taiwan at the Miss World 2008 pageant at Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg on Saturday 13th December 2008.

A representative of Taiwan has not been to the pageant since 2005.

Languages: Mandarin, Taiwanese, & English

Jamie grew up in Taichung.

She was born in to a pastor’s family and had the privilege of going around the world with her parents doing their missionary work.

She recently graduated from the University of California with a Bachelors degree in Economics.

Jamie is setting up her own trading company and wants to go back to school to get her MBA.

She likes: Piano; electric violin; listening to Taiwanese music & hip-hop; reading; traveling; cooking with friends; playing Nintendo Wii; meeting new people; walking her miniature Schnauzer named Charcoal.

Her favorite food is fusion food, and she loves stinky tofu.

Her motto is ‘To achieve all that is possible, we must attempt the impossible. To be as much as we can be, we must dream of being more’.
