Dhoni Bowling Video | Ind vs WI | Highlights
Well , Dhoni bowling ?! every one know that our Indian Captain M S Dhoni is a regular wicket keeper and a good batsman, but he bowled in the match against West Indies at the ICC Champions trophy 2009 in South Africa.
Dhoni decided to have some fun and have bowl . Before the start of the 17th over, he gave his keeping gloves to Karthik, and decided to bowl, something he does to good effect in the nets.
The first two balls Dhoni bowled were long hops, and were duly pulled and cut for boundaries by Travis Dowlin. The fourth ball, though, was fuller, and took the inside edge onto the stumps. And everybody had a bit of a laugh.
Dhoni then proceeded to merrily seam his way through one more over, and also had a difficult edge dropped by Karthik.
Dhoni said after the match: “I just played three balls in the Champions Trophy. We could have won the first game but didn’t. To get into the groove is important; you can practice hard and all but you have to get into the mood in the games. PK started brilliantly and Ashish has been the pick of our bowlers. Bhajji and Mishra did well. We came back well against Australia and again I am pleased with the bowlers. It was swinging a bit so I thought why not give myself a bowl? Next is the Australia series, so be prepared for it.”
