The written examination of the Rajasthan Police recruitments was held on 23rd of January 2011. The Rajasthan police was formed in the year 1951. Officers from all over the state of Rajasthan, India were appointed.

The headquarters of the Rajasthan police is based in the state capital Jaipur. The law enforcement agency is known for dealing with the criminal gangs, dacoits in the Chambal ravines, spies and narco-terrorists.

The Director General of Police heads the Rajasthan Police. The state is divided in to eight zones, which is each headed by an Inspector General of Police. The Rajasthan Police force consists of 3366 constables, 889 inspectors, 3902 assistant sub inspectors, 8867 head constables, and 5283 constables. The aim of the force is “Sevarth Katibaddhta”, which means, ‘committed to serve’.
