You can’t keep a bad politician down – Politicians Stump from Jail
Six politicians who have been arrested for murder and/or abduction are awaiting a trial in one of India's most lawless northern states.
Knowing that you can tell a politician is lying when his lips are moving, the guys in the pokey decided to stump from their holding cell by cell phone.
The potlickers call their supporters who then broadcast their speeches live at rallies using a microphone hooked up to a public address system.
And the reason why they don't take the cell-phones away from the bozos? It's a mystery.
In India people cannot serve in public office IF they have been convicted.
Once they are moved to a jail cell, their cell-phones won't work anymore.
Again…why don't they just take the cell phones away?
One guy is accused of murdering a Hindu nationalist lawmaker and the other of killing his girlfriend.
Both sound like good political candidates, no?
