The Most Dangerous Trains in the World
I am not sure where I first read this but I have heard/read/seen not a few times that India trains are the most dangerous form of transportation in the world. SF Gate is saying it again.
Mile for mile, Tokyo Taxis are the most expensive form of transportation.
There is one train in India that is likely to NOT be so dangerous.
An electric train stalled in the Buxar district in the state of Bihar when an electrical connection snapped.
The solution…the train's driver asked the passengers to push the train about 20 meters to the next electricity pole so that he could restart the contraption.![]()
"Look out there's a people powered train coming down the tracks at us!!"
India has the largest railway network in the world and carries more than 14 million passengers daily. (14 million might be a misprint…I am pretty sure that many people ride the train each day in the Tokyo/Yokohama area alone.)
The newest danger for Indian railways might be the danger of NOT getting to your destination.
Have you ever ridden the train in India?

Checked the SF gate article. Nowhere its mentioned about
dangerous trains. Anyway its your blog and getaway with sensationalist title.
A train ride rankes very high for India tourists.

I always felt safe in India trains, its a question of probability. The chances me getting hit is very low if you take in account the sheer number of passengers.
