Nikkitasha Marhawa a student of drama from the United Sates won the 18th Miss India Worldwide crown at a glittering event.
Nikkitasha Marhawa a 19 year old Indian-American based in Chicago, floored the audience with her classical Indian dance fusion, won the contest held here at a glittering ceremony on Saturday night, beating 24 contestants from across the world, many contestants from Guyana, Fiji and South Africa participated in this event.

Her sensational dance blew away the event judges and captured the hearts of the huge audience present there, who gave her a standing ovation for her fast paced, precise and slick movements.
“It was a fascinating experience which earned me many friends and has made me even more committed to the cause of Indian people and the greater human kind,” she said.
The 2nd place was won by Australia’s Kanchan Verma, who danced a spectacular sequence which kept the audience spellbound .
“We are all winners. I enjoyed this event very much and over the last week, I met and made many friends,” said Ms. Verma.

i think you guys need to stop judging people by the cover. its quite true that she may not be the most attractive but hey the contestants themselves agreed that she deserved to win coz i think its far beyond her looks. she is a nice person and very talented, smart funny spontaneous and i am sure she truly deserved to win this. good going girl!!

no we dont need to stop judging people by the cover. its a pageant. pageants are girls who wanna be go into the modeling / acting industries. if you aren’t pretty or atleast decent looking, why bother trying? and as for the judges, yes so her dance was fascinating. but that’s not what the competition is all about. its not a talent show.
