England abandon one-day series

England cricket board has decided not to play the remaining 2 one day international matches  against India following wednesday’s terrorist strikes in Mumbai.

 

 However The Indian board in a statement has said that the  two-Test series, scheduled to begin on December 11 are on schedule, only the 2nd test match , which was to be played in mumbai has been shifted to Chennai .

This decision was taken during a meeting between BCCI sec N Srinivasan, England’s managing director Hugh Morris, and the Indian team management in Bhubaneshwar. . “The safety and security of the England team is of the utmost importance to ECB,”

Morris said. “We have reviewed all our security arrangements in the light of these attacks and will be taking all necessary steps to ensure the safety and security of the team.”
