Captain: The side will be led by the left handed Indian batsman from Delhi, Gautam Gambhir. In the first two seasons, Virender Sehwag was the captain but he gave it up for Gambhir to take over. Gambhir did not have a good start to his captaincy when his side crashed out without making it to the semi-finals of the Champions League T20, 2009.

Coach: David Shippherd. He is also the coach of the Victorian Bushrangers and has had an excellent record with them.

Record so far: Semi-finals in both the editions of the tournament. That is obviously good consistency, but one has also to take into account the fact that they lost rather freakishly in both the editions; in one their batsmen were blown over by the Royals’ bowlers and in the other, an Adam Gilchrist special knocked them out.
