No films in Mumbai theatres, Bollywood suspends work
The Maharashtra government on Thursday ordered cinema hall owners to stop screening of films until further instructions.
The film industry had a huge setback following the terror strike in the city that has left more than 155 people killed. FilmyFair.com reports .
The issued orders are for managements of both single screen theatres and multiplexes to suspend the screening of movies as a security measure.
On friday certain new films were to be released , now postponed as a result of the mumbai terror attacks.
A joint statement issued by all the associations of the film industry said. “We have decided to close the industry for a day as a mark of tribute to those innocent people who died due to indiscriminate firings by the terrorists and to the police officers and constables who fell to their bullets during the shootout. We condemn the heinous act,”
