3 Killed and 30 injured in Assam Train Bomb blast
A month after deadly serial explosions rocked the state leaving nearly 80 dead. today At least three persons were reported killed and 30 badly injured when suspected KLNLF militants triggered a blast in a passenger train at Diphu in central Assam’s Karbi Anglong district,
The injured have been rushed to the army hospital
The Karbi Liongri National Liberation Front, enforcing an "indefinite economic blockade" on national highways and rail tracks in the state, allegedly planted the bomb in a general compartment of Tinsukia-Lumding passenger train which exploded around 8 am, police said.
Police said that the bombs which were kept inside coach numbers 8209 of 901 Lumding-Tinsukia passenger train, exploded around 8 am as soon as it entered Diphu railway station.
