The movie about a overweight girl dealing with challenges of teenage and bullying at school has received positive reviews. Indian Express in its review called the movie as a mini version of Karan Johar’s previous movie “Student Of The Year”.

Bollywood Hungama rated the movie 3.5 out of 5 stars calling it as sweet, simple and heart-warming cinema. Madhureeta Mukherjee of Times Of India rated the movie 3 stars out of 5 saying that the simple story stays pre-pubescent and doesn’t quite grow.

The low budget teenage drama faces competition from zombie comedy movie “Go Goa Gone”. “Gippi” is expected to collect Rs 6 crores over the weekend. The movie opened on slow note, but rave reviews and word of mouth is expected to benefit the evening/night shows.

Reportedly, a huge set which looked like a busy road with cars and bikes was created for the movie. The actors including Salman Khan on a bike were shooting in scorching heat.

During the action scene being shot, Salman’s trousers nipped accidentally, exposing his thigh. About 300 people were shooting around and no one knew how to tell him.

When he was told about it, he was taken aback. However after recovering, Salman called for another shot taking everyone by surprise with his cool reaction. Unlike others he didn’t even go for a change, reasoning that the remaining shots were close-ups.

Salman’s “Mental” starring Sana Khan and Daisy Shah as is expected to release in January 2014.

Kenneth Ayers killed his two-year-old son with a gunshot and wounded his estranged wife. The couple were involved in a custody exchange battle.

The 52-year-old reportedly shot his own mother also during the incident though she is not injured as informed by the police.

The incident occurred at Ayer’s mother’s home on Saturday morning. According to Huntingdon County District Attorney, Kenneth was restricted from his wife on a court order on account of abuse had visits permission to his two year old son.
A visit had been arranged at Kenneth’s mother’s home and he got in a fight with his wife. He ended up shooting her with a .40 caliber handgun and then his son, killing him.

He then placed the child’s body in his car, while his wife was still fighting which made him shoot her again. he shot his mother then but she was unhurt.

Then he drove off from the spot with the boy’s body and was later found dead
with a self inflicted wound.

Kushal Perera opned for Sri Lanka. Offspinner Sachitra Senanayake was also included, for his first game in almost a year.
