However recently on one of her numerous escapades out of India, she was detained at the Mumbai airport on Wednesday for evading of customs duty.

Veena, still considered a Pakistani national by her adopted country, was found to be carrying undeclared goods worth `40,000 to `50,000 which are considered dutiable by Indian authorities. The actress was finally let off the hook after paying a Rs.`10,000 fine on the spot.

This year Veena is the second Pakistani artiste to have been penalized for trying to carry dutiable goods out ofIndiawithout paying duty.
